POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing the performance of our operations teams to share results in a usable, timely and accurate format; formulating and improving operating best practices; and leveraging this expertise across all Haynes locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job description gives an overview of the overall essential functions, competencies, skills, and abilities for the Operations Analyst role. Other duties may be assigned.
JOB KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Business Intelligence Development/Report Automation in Sigma Computing
- Coordinate scoping sessions for new dashboard developments
- Develop dashboards and reports as requested in scoping sessions. Follow refinement/revision procedures as necessary
- Assist with the maintenance of data sources to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Compile and analyze financial performance data for the operations team (agreements, projects, time, and material, estimate vs actual, forecasting, budgets, etc.)
- Compile and analyze operational data (technician utilization, callback/warranty work, etc.).
- Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to operational leaders; identify and validate new KPIs as the business evolves
- Conduct data analysis to establish performance baselines and develop/improve operational forecasting
- Maximize use of existing analytical tools and make recommendations regarding additional tools, as needed
- Participate in annual financial planning
- Track and forecast operational expenditures
- Maintain historical database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Management Science, or a related field; or 3 years of equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated expertise in Business Intelligence Tools (Sigma, Tableau or PowerBI)
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy of data
- Demonstrated strategic thinking
- Expert-level analytical and financial modeling skills
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service focus, both internal and external
COMPENSATION:
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000/year Full benefits
