Therapist - Bilingual

SUMMARY:

The Therapist is responsible for the delivery of coordinated and collaborative clinical services to children, adolescents and families across various community-based settings. Such services shall be consistent with Agency policy and procedures, clinical supervision, the Core Practice Model, community mental health service provisions, and the standards of practice for registered and licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Clinical Social Workers, or Psychologists within the State of California.

JOB DUTIES:

• Responsible for the delivery and coordination of community-based mental health services to clients and families
• Conducts clinical assessments and treatment planning
• Provides culturally competent individual, family, and group therapy in home, school, and other community settings
• Engages family members/caregivers/identified support persons in regular collateral contacts/sessions/CFT meetings
• Works collaboratively with all members of the treatment team (i.e., Child & Family Specialist, Facilitator, Parent Partner, Psychiatrist, school staff, identified DCFS and Department of Probation personnel)
• Responds to crisis calls and provides crisis intervention services either by phone or face-to-face, as determined in consultation with clinical supervisor
• Completes all documentation in accordance with deadlines and performance standards established by Policy and Procedures and/or the Director of Mental Health
• Attends weekly individual and group supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

In the course of performing this job, the incumbent typically spends time standing, walking on sloped/hilly areas of campus, carrying, driving, lifting (up to 40 pounds), listening, speaking, reaching, writing, and participating in restraint procedures

Qualifications

• Masters of Arts/Science (M.A./M.S.) Degree in Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Counseling OR Doctorate (Ph.D./Psy.D.) Degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology.
• Active, current and clear registration/license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and/or California Board of Psychology
• Trained in Intensive Field-Based Services (Intensive Care Coordination & Intensive Home-Based Services, Core Practice Model, Wraparound Roles, etc.) preferred
• Experience working high-risk children, adolescents, adults and/or families within a Mental Health, Educational, Child Welfare and/or Juvenile Probation systems preferred
• Availability to be on-call for crisis related services required
• Bi-lingual/Bi-literate in Spanish highly preferred
• Valid California Drivers License and proof of auto insurance required
• Must fulfill all requirements of employment, including clearance of all required background records (e.g. Department of Justice, Child Abuse, California Community Care Licensing, County Sanction List, etc.), professional reference checks, physical examination with TB test, and drug screening

Salary : $68,640 - $79,040
