Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic QDDP DSP (Driver) to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to our clients. In this job role, you will assist with daily activities and ensure safe transportation for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Your efforts will help foster a warm, engaging environment that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Support residents with Activities of Daily Living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance when needed.
- Drive clients safely to appointments, outings, and community events using company vehicles
- Assist in coordinating engaging client activities and social events to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Maintain accurate documentation of client care activities, schedules, and transportation logs
- Build strong rapport with clients through compassionate communication and personalized care approaches
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to develop plans that address each clients unique needs
- Support recreational therapy initiatives by facilitating group activities and fostering a positive community atmosphere
Skills
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, clients families, and fellow staff members
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with intellectual disabilities in a compassionate manner
- Proficiency in computer use for documentation purposes
- Experience working with autistic individuals not required but great if you do
- Leadership qualities to support team collaboration
