What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Apartment Groundsperson position at Hayman Company?
Apex 400 Apartments in Glen Ellyn, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Full Time Groundsperson. This is a seasonal position from May until September. The team is looking for someone that is customer service focused, organized, developmental, self-driven, passionate and transparent. If you have a desire to be a part of a happy and successful team that focuses on positive outcomes and making a difference, we are looking for you! We offer up to $25/hr.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Keep the grass and shrubs green and healthy.
2. Maintain flowerbeds and all plant material.
3. Assist with general maintenance in punch out of units including caulking, re-key locks, make keys, A/C Service, appliances, electric, plumbing, drywall, tile, wallpaper, formica, porcelain repairs, window, light bulb, safety equipment, and blind replacement.
4. Police the grounds every day for trash and maintain the overall cleanliness of the property.
5. Maintain the pool area-vacuum, scrub tiles and monitor the chemicals.
6. Pressure wash buildings and breezeways where necessary.
7. Repair and replace parts for irrigation system.
8. Monitor dumpster containers and keep dumpster area free of garbage.
9. Maintain exterior lighting fixtures and replace bulbs as necessary.
10. Keep parking areas, breezeways, and common areas swept and clean.
11. Maintain recycling center on property.
12. Genuine care and courtesy shown toward all residents, prospects, vendors and coworkers.
13. Full understanding and compliance with fair housing regulations and applicable Federal, State, City, and County ordinances.
14. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
15. Accurate implementation of the Hayman Company Policy and procedure as outlined in the policy manual.
16. Show a willingness to learn new procedures and tasks.
17. Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
18. Set priorities.
19. Adhere to the proper dress code requirements as stated in the policy manual.
20. Timely completion of work orders scheduled.
21. Immediate response to emergency calls.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
