Duties may include performing Receiving Clerk duties.
Job Duties
- Process received work orders for shipping.
- Utilizing job packet, ascertain completeness of job.
- Begin final inspection process
- Receive “WIP” jobs into “Finished Goods” in M3.
- Coordinate shipments with Sales, Manufacturing, freight carrier, and customer.
- Arrange for freight carrier.
- Obtain customer approval for freight costs (if required) before shipping.
- Prepare accurate and detailed bill-of-lading for shipments.
- Load finished product on trucks as required.
- Determine safest method of handling product utilizing the proper equipment to prevent injury to anyone or damage the product.
- Confer with the driver as to placement of tie down straps or chains in order to prevent damage to the product.
- Take pictures of product loaded on truck and place printed pictures in job file.
- Prepare commercial invoice for foreign shipments.
- Maintain ship log on all shipments.
- Generate Ship List and ship orders in M3.
- Maintain organization in team’s work areas.
- Follow Supervisor’s instructions for staging.
- Ensure organized storage of tools, slings, chains and supplies. Keep area clear of clutter and other hazards.
- Notify Supervisor of maintenance needs for equipment.
- Comply with H&S Environmental, Health and Safety Programs.
- Read, comprehend, and comply with H&S Safety Manual and Employee Handbook.
- Other activities as directed by Supervisor.
- Perform all receiving duties in absence of Receiving Clerk and assist with shipping as needed.
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Ability to give, receive and understand oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to complete training and operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Understanding of H&S policies and programs (environmental, health, safety, quality, human resources, etc.).
- Ability to acquire knowledge of the product lines manufactured by H&S.
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
- High school diploma or equivalent, computer literate, and have excellent organizational skills.
- 1-3 years related experience.
- Stable employment and attendance history.
- Perform work activities in a manner that produces the highest possible quality in the most efficient way.
- Ship out all customer orders quickly, completely, and on-schedule.
- Maintain accurate shipping documents.
- Meet and exceed company policies regarding safety, quality and environmental compliance.
