We’re hiring a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM) to lead production operations on the floor. In this role, you’ll ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing while supporting your team and driving continuous improvement across the operation.
What You’ll Do:
Here’s what your day-today might look like:
- Lead 2nd shift production operations, aligning schedules, staffing, and materials to meet delivery commitments
- Drive performance across key metrics including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, and cost
- Hold teams accountable to work standards, performance expectations, and attendance in a union manufacturing environment
- Coach and develop supervisors, team leads, and hourly employees to improve performance, engagement, and team effectiveness
- Maintain a consistent presence on the production floor to monitor operations, support employees, and address issues in real time
- Troubleshoot production and quality issues, making timely decisions to minimize downtime and maintain flow
- Partner cross-functionally (Safety, Quality, Engineering) to resolve issues and support operational goals
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the shift
- Maintain accurate production documentation, including work instructions and process updates
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental requirements, and company policies
- Own hiring, performance management, and team development, including coaching, accountability, and career progression
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field
- Experienced in leading manufacturing teams, with at least 7 years of supervisory experience in a LEAN environment
- Proven ability to drive performance, solve problems, and lead teams in a fast-paced production setting
- Confident in making decisions, managing priorities, and holding teams accountable to expectations
- Strong communicator who can effectively work across all levels of the organization
- Familiar with union environments and managing within a collective bargaining setting (preferred)
- Bonus: CPIM or Six Sigma certification
