Business Development Manager – Hayden Tower
Location: Topeka, KS (or Remote with weekly travel)

Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving strategic growth, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring the company achieves its revenue goals. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage the entire business development lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals and providing accurate forecasts for operational planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in construction industry business development or related roles.
- Proven ability to generate significant bid opportunities and close deals.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel weekly and work independently.
- Professional demeanor, self-driven, and goal-oriented.
- Strategic thinker with a growth mindset.
- Excellent listener and relationship builder.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and reporting to executive leadership.
Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Pipeline Development
- Design & maintain a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in telecom and adjacent markets.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities for each construction division to meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Track and manage all opportunities in CRM systems, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate status updates.
Market Expansion & Brand Positioning
- Research and analyze market trends to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats.
- Establish relationships to ensure inclusion on bid lists.
- Build digital presence, enhance brand visibility, and develop targeted campaigns.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness and generate leads.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and lead the customer success and quality guarantee collaboratively with operations to ensure exceptional service for new and existing clients.
- Conduct client presentations that clearly communicate the company’s value proposition and capabilities.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally to maintain long-term relationships.
Forecasting & Strategic Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts of bid opportunities and revenue projections.
- Provide detailed reports to leadership for financial planning, HR staffing, fleet scaling, and operational readiness.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend adjustments to business development strategies and resource allocation.
Recurring Revenue & Maintenance Programs
- Design and implement annual maintenance proposals to create predictable, recurring revenue streams.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure timely delivery and execution of maintenance contracts.
Internal Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with the CEO and operations team to align business development efforts with strategic plan.
- Develop and maintain standardized processes for bid qualification, documentation, and customer onboarding.
- Support cultural initiatives by promoting visibility of achievements and reinforcing company values.
