Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries within local areas.
- Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
- Deliver freight to designated locations, managing delivery documentation accurately and professionally.
- Handle hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain excellent communication with dispatch teams regarding delivery status and route updates.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving within local areas.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading and unloading processes.
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; training available for qualified candidates.
- Strong navigation skills using GPS systems to follow designated routes efficiently.
- Excellent safety awareness and adherence to all trucking safety protocols.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
