Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and present menus with enthusiasm, highlighting daily specials and beverage options
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and providing personalized recommendations for wine pairings or menu choices
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately through POS systems, and give correct change while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Server in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings, including nightclub or food industry environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle diverse guest needs gracefully
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and inventory management
- Previous experience in food preparation, serving, bussing, or host/host roles is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a lively hospitality environment
