What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Supervisor - Construction position at Hay Runner?
Build with purpose. Lead with pride.
At Hay Runner, we’re more than a construction company, we’re a team of craftspeople, problem-solvers, and project leaders who care deeply about the work we do and the people we do it with. We’re looking for a Site Supervisor who can lead from the front: someone organized, hands-on, and committed to delivering high-quality projects while creating a safe, collaborative jobsite.
What you'll do
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and deliveries to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Work closely with project managers, clients, and trade partners to ensure timelines, budgets, and expectations stay on track.
- Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to anticipate challenges and keep workflows smooth.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant jobsite by conducting regular safety checks and reinforcing best practices with the team.
- Manage schedules, updates, and reporting through Buildertrend so everyone stays informed and accountable.
- Inspect work, coordinate corrections when needed, and ensure every phase meets Hay Runner standards and project specifications.
- Complete daily logs, progress reports, safety records, and other site documentation accurately and consistently.
- Assign tasks clearly, support crew development, and foster a jobsite built on respect, accountability, and craftsmanship.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience supervising construction projects and leading field teams.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, and construction estimating.
- Comfort using construction management software, especially Buildertrend.
- Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and a commitment to enforcing them.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing day-to-day site logistics.
- Strong communication skills and confidence reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and site documentation practices.
Why Hay Runner?
- Work with a team that values craftsmanship, integrity, and collaboration.
- Lead meaningful projects from the ground up.
- Be part of a culture that prioritizes safety, growth, and doing the job right.
- Use modern tools and processes while staying connected to hands-on building.
If you’re a proactive leader who takes pride in building great projects and great teams, we’d love to hear from you.
