  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, builders, vendors, and internal project teams throughout all phases of design and construction.
  • Select and specify materials, furnishings, fixtures, lighting, and finishes that support both aesthetics and functionality.
  • Prepare detailed drawing sets, presentations, mood boards, and construction documentation.
  • Coordinate with the preconstruction and field teams to ensure design intent is executed accurately during construction.
  • Conduct site visits to review project progress, address field conditions, and assist with problem-solving as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization, communication, and timeline expectations.
  • Stay current on design trends, materials, and products while contributing fresh ideas and creative solutions to the Hay Runner design process.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with additional rendering or modeling software such as Rhino or 3ds Max is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, color theory, lighting design, and material selection.
  • Knowledge of construction documentation, renovation processes, and residential and/or commercial construction practices.
  • Strong drafting and technical communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to confidently guide clients through design decisions.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, and vendors throughout the construction process.
  • Passion for thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and creating spaces that feel intentional and lasting.
