Construction Superintendent (Full-Time)
Location: Greater Portland, ME
Reports To: Lead Project Manager or Construction Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead daily field operations on high-quality residential and commercial projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in organization, craftsmanship, safety, and clear communication.
The Superintendent is responsible for keeping jobsites running efficiently, safely, and strictly in accordance with construction documents and project direction. You’ll be the daily on-site leader, working closely with project management to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all daily jobsite operations, including field crews, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure all work is completed per plans, specifications, schedule, and company standards
- Coordinate daily and weekly schedules, sequencing trades and staffing appropriately
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized jobsites
- Enforce safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor quality, safety, and progress
- Communicate clearly with project managers regarding jobsite status, challenges, and upcoming needs
- Represent the company professionally with clients and inspectors on-site
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in residential or commercial construction
- 2 years in a Superintendent or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and jobsite safety
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable using (or learning) construction management tools such as Procore, Buildertrend, or Fieldwire
- OSHA certification preferred
- Organized, dependable, and team-oriented with a strong commitment to quality

Pay: $60,202.05 - $72,501.39 per year
