Haxtun Health is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant II to help keep our hospital running smoothly! From hands-on multi-trade repairs to troubleshooting critical systems, you’ll ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Starting Pay Range: $22.89/hr – $29.76/hr, depending on experience

• Position Status: Full-time, non-exempt
• Shift: Day (participation in on-call rotation)
• Shift Differentials: Nights = 10% of base wage (after 6pm), Weekends = 15% of base wage

Job Summary:

Performs skilled multi-trade maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of hospital systems, including HVAC/boiler, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general construction. Ensures compliance with safety standards, conducts preventative maintenance, responds to emergencies, and supports facility operations through equipment, vehicle, and grounds upkeep. Maintains accurate documentation, collaborates with departments and vendors, and applies strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills to support safe, efficient, and patient-focused operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years relevant experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in healthcare facility maintenance and plant operations preferred

• Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI): Haxtun Health participates in the CO FAMLI program, which is a social insurance program that provides up to 12 weeks of paid leave for qualifying life events.
• Term Life Insurance: 1 x annual salary term life provided by HHD, no employee premium ($200,000 Max.). Additional voluntary life insurance coverage for the employee and family is an option which can be purchased by the employee.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three (3) years journey-level experience in one or more trades areas required or specialized training and/or certification
• Experience in healthcare facility maintenance and plant operations preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
