Ambulance Driver
The Haxtun Health Ambulance department does not offer regularly scheduled work shifts. Weekday coverage is provided by the first available responders. Weekends are covered by two on-call responders. On-call shifts are usually from 6:00am on Saturday through 6:00 am on Monday mornings. On-call responders receive hourly on-call pay. Commission is based on a per-trip basis, according to a predetermined rate table.
About The Role
Ambulance Driver responds to calls for Inter-facility transfers to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and to transport the patient to a medical facility under the guidelines outlined in the Haxtun Ambulance EMS Protocols.
- Position Status: PRN (On Call)
- This position is not eligible for benefits.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess and maintain CPR certification for healthcare, training available.
- Possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License
- Possess or obtain ICS 100 & 700 for NIMS compliances
