Haxton's Kent Liquors (West Shore Road) is a family-owned wine and spirits store in Warwick, Rhode Island. We are looking for stock associate to join our retail team and report to Store Manager and Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will be looking for a full-time job (32-40 hours) and will want to grow with the business and team for years to come. They will be flexible to business needs, and be able to work nights and weekends. They should have open availability. Please only apply if you meet this criteria.

Responsibilities

• As a member of the Retail team, you will play an essential role in the customer service experience.
• Day to day tasks including but not limited to ringing customers out, unloading and moving cases using a hand truck, bringing up cases from basement, stocking shelves and coolers, setting up displays, helping customers find product and making recommendations, maintaining a clean environment including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, etc., opening/closing responsibilities when needed.
• Educating yourself and team members on product, host tastings, and ad hoc responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience using a hand truck and moving cases
• Availability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to lift and consistently move 45 lbs (a case of liquor/wine)
• Must be able to perform long hours on their feet and frequently climb stairs
• Must have reliable transportation
• Strong interpersonal skills and engaging positive attitude
• Team player spirit

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week

Work Location: In person
