What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Pediatric and Adult Sonographer (Echo) - Per Diem position at Hawthorne Health, Inc.?
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE
- Perform echocardiograms per protocol on adult and pediatric patients
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review
- Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines
- Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments
- Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards
- Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment
- Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment
- Travel to patient homes to conduct visits
- Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or RCS (for echo)
- Certification in Adult is required
- Pediatric certification not required, but a plus
- 3 years of clinical sonography experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel locally/regionally
- Strong attention to detail and image quality
- Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
- Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
- Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments
- Time management and organizational skills
