Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising dogs and other pets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Assist in administering medications as directed by veterinary staff.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest standards of animal care are upheld.
Experience
Candidates should ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Dog handling techniques that promote positive behavior.
- Veterinary experience.
- Experience in pet sitting or caring for animals in a home environment.
- Background in kennel operations or animal care facilities is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
