Position Summary
The Shipping & Inventory Clerk is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and products within the warehouse. This role maintains inventory accuracy through cycle counting, purchase order management, ERP transactions, and proper material handling. The position supports production and customer fulfillment by ensuring parts are properly received, staged, picked, packed, stored, and shipped according to company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies.
- Process receipts and shipments accurately within the ERP system.
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and schedule pickups as required.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company procedures.
Inventory Management
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain organized storage locations and accurate inventory records.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excess stock.
- Assist with annual physical inventory counts.
Purchase Order (PO) Management
- Verify received materials against purchase orders.
- Update receipt transactions and inventory records within the ERP system.
- Communicate discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods to purchasing and management.
- Maintain accurate documentation for receiving and inventory transactions.
Picking, Packing & Staging
- Pick materials and components accurately according to work orders, sales orders, and shipping requirements.
- Pack products securely to prevent damage during transportation.
- Stage materials for production, assembly, or shipment.
- Ensure all orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
Parts Storage & Material Handling
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage locations.
- Store materials according to company standards and inventory control procedures.
- Label inventory locations and materials clearly.
- Move materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment as authorized.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
ERP System Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely data entry.
- Generate inventory, shipping, and receiving reports as required.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory accuracy and warehouse processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Position Type: Full-Time
Location: On-Site Warehouse Operations
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (9-hour shift)
Friday (4-hour shift)
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
