Hawkins Parnell & Young, LLP is seeking an Junior Legal Assistant to join their St. Louis office. This position provides a wide range of administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must have strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, possess a strong work ethic and be proficient in MS Office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain electronic files in compliance with internal policies
- Maintain office calendar
- Find and retrieve information from files in response to requests from team members
- Process daily incoming/outgoing mail
- E-file and paper file documents with state, federal and appellate courts
- Handle billing for assigned timekeepers
- Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 1 year of previous administrative experience is required - law firm experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated initiative and self-direction
