What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Engineer position at Hawkins Construction Company?
We are looking for a key member responsible for managing project documentation, supporting project management, coordinating with contractors and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
CORE DUTIES:
- Handle general office tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, data entry, and report generation.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute project documentation including contracts, proposals, purchase orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Create and maintain organized binders for specifications, manuals, O&M documents, and other project materials.
- Assist with meeting coordination — scheduling, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and distributing follow-up action items.
- Support the submittal and documentation tracking process, ensuring timely processing.
- Assist with bidding opportunities, bid submissions, and bid openings.
- Set up and maintain contract templates and project files.
- Drive to local job sites or vendor locations as needed to deliver or pick up documents and materials.
- Provide general and administrative support to project managers, engineers and field teams as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
