The ideal candidate will have a background in individual tax returns, tax law, customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and professionalism are highly valued.
Duties include preparing income tax returns for clients in a one-on-one setting as well as contactless preparation. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing personal income tax returns and is current with continuing education.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual income tax returns accurately and efficiently
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify tax-related questions
- Provide exceptional customer service by timely addressing client inquiries and explaining tax concepts clearly
- Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize client benefits
- Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and potential deductions or credits
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all tax filings and related tasks
Skills
- Experience as an Income Tax Professional or similar role, with a focus on individual taxes
- Knowledge of ever-changing tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Ability to interpret complex tax information and convey it to clients using plain language

Pay: $25.00 - $33.52 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
