Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Tradesman or Journeyman Plumber to join our team. This role is for someone who has already put in the years in the field — you can walk onto any job site, size up the problem, and get it done right the first time, with minimal oversight. As a Residential Service & Repair Plumber, you’ll diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems in properties across DFW, often handling the more complex and higher-stakes calls. You’ll communicate directly with property managers and tenants and represent Hawkhill with professionalism. Because we work mainly with property managers, there’s no upselling — just solid work done right with integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to service calls and independently diagnose complex plumbing issues efficiently and accurately.
• Perform a wide range of residential plumbing repairs, including but not limited to:
• • Leak detection and repair
  • Drain cleaning and unclogging
  • Faucet and fixture repair and replacement
  • Water heater repair and installation (tank and tankless)
  • Toilet repair and replacement
  • Pipe repair and replacement
  • Sewer and water line repairs
• Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Interacting professionally with clients (property managers and their tenants) and providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
• Serve as a technical resource on the crew, providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced plumbers and apprentices as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies (if required).

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Tradesman Plumber License OR Journeyman Plumber License is REQUIRED.
• 5 years of hands-on residential service plumbing experience. We want a seasoned professional who has mastered the trade, handles complex jobs with minimal supervision, and is ready to take on a leadership role as our plumbing division expands.
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, codes, and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in various conditions (e.g., confined spaces, outdoors).
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific plumbing software (e.g., Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan).
• Backflow prevention certification.
• Gas line installation and repair experience.
• Prior experience mentoring, training, or supervising junior plumbers or apprentices.

Salary: $37-43 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• On-call (potentially)
• Overtime may be required

Work Location: On the road (serving residential clients in the DFW area)
