The VP, Account Director is a key agency leader and a highly visible client contact who is responsible for the overall development of strategy, client relationships, specific programs, and financial performance on all assigned accounts. He/She assigns the highest priority to client satisfaction and success by establishing and maintaining long-term client relationships that are strategic, inspire client loyalty and based on shared goals. The VP, AD builds client confidence and trust, strives to exceed expectations, ensures commitments are met, and solicits input and ideas from clients.
- At least 10 years of experience in a marketing/advertising agency with additional experience in performance marketing through the funnel
- Must have deep experience, ideally client side in P&C, non-agent insurance vertical
- Bring a test & learn mindset to optimize creative tactics within a channel and across channels
- Proven client relationship development and management skills
- Leading a multi-disciplinary team
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- High-level client presentation skills; experienced public speaker
- Must be a natural leader who can collaboratively and effectively lead an agency team
- Proven ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and results
- Ability to grasp, explain and sell all agency capabilities and relate those capabilities to clients’ needs
- Knows the client’s business, competition, customers and politics
