Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our garbage refuse team.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies
- Follow all transportation safety regulations.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers using effective English language skills; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Respond quickly to traffic changes or unexpected road conditions to ensure timely pick-up.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify proper functioning of brakes, lights, signals, and safety equipment
- Complete accurate documentation for each trip including logs, incident reports, and safety checklists
Experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for Class B.
- Prior experience driving.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle operation procedures, and transportation safety regulations at the state and local levels
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities can enhance service delivery
- Ability to perform quick responses to changing traffic conditions while maintaining focus on safety
