What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hob/Mill Operator STE 1st Shift position at Hawkeye Metal Spinning?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up and operation of Hob(s).
- Production on Hob(s).
- Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided and performs all required checks.
- Maintain required documentation.
- Perform required preventive maintenance checks on equipment, watch and listen for abnormal conditions, and report concerns immediately.
- Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Mechanical background and machine operating experience are helpful
- A willingness to learn and be trained on the EIMCo manufacturing process
- General skills with hand and power tools
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
- The ability to multitask on a wide variety of projects
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to routinely bend and squat
- Ability to routinely climb stairs, ladders, or platforms
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to repetitively grasp
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of industrial or manufacturing experience preferred. Formal education or experience may be substituted with training when competency in the position is demonstrated.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a safety sensitive position. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management.
