Position Overview

Job Title: Alliance Clinic Nutrition Educator
Position Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Pay Range: $26.72 - $28.38 hourly depending on education and experience.
Position Goal
The Alliance Clinic Nutrition Educator is responsible for conducting all aspects of the nutrition education component and process of assessing nutritional risks associated with the WIC & Maternal/Child Health programs, in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to provide nutrition services to the target community.

Education and/or Experience
- Possess an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited institution in a Nutrition or Dietetics related field (licensure not required).
- A health professional with an undergraduate or graduate degree in a health-related field.
- Must be able to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population of low-income individuals with possible language/cultural barriers.
- Complete Bloodborne Pathogen training within ten days of employment and updated annually.
- Complete Child Abuse Reporter training within six (6) months of employment and update every three (3) years.
- Completion of required continuing education hours to retain state licensure.
- TB testing at hire.
- Willing to work flexible hours including early evenings.
- Valid Driver's License & Car Insurance.
- Reliable transportation to use on the job.
- Complete WIC training requirements as outlined in the WIC policies: "Local Agency Personnel Training," "Training and Education Record," and "New Employee Training Checklist."
