The IT Manager is the senior-most technology leader within the organization and plays a critical role supporting every department across the company. This is a highly hands-on position responsible for both strategic IT leadership and day-to-day technical execution. This is an in-office position based in our Santa Monica headquarters.
The individual in this role must be personable, highly responsive, and able to translate complex technical concepts into simple, manageable terms for stakeholders at all levels. The IT Manager must manage competing priorities effectively and operate with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
This role owns onboarding and offboarding, platform administration, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, DNS configuration, executive-level access management, and long-term technology planning. As the organization continues to grow, this role is also responsible for strengthening IT processes, documentation, and operational structure.
In addition to traditional IT leadership, this role serves as the organization’s systems architect, responsible for designing and optimizing the company’s technology ecosystem to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and margin performance. The IT Manager partners cross-functionally with Services, Sales, and Finance to ensure systems are integrated, secure, and aligned with the company’s long-term growth strategy.
Qualifications:
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Own and maintain a centralized systems architecture map, documenting platform interoperability and data flow across the organization
- Establish automation governance standards and oversee implementation of workflow automation tools and integrations
- Partner with Services leadership to design scalable, technology-enabled delivery models
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes through automation and system redesign
- Evaluate and operationalize AI tools in a secure, compliant, and business-aligned manner
- Ensure new platform decisions align with long-term data, reporting, and operational scalability goals
Onboarding, Offboarding & Access Management (Critical Function)

Lead full onboarding process including user creation, provisioning, and role-based access configuration across platforms.

Manage secure and timely offboarding, ensuring immediate revocation of access.

Grant and oversee elevated and administrative access for new hires and executive leadership.

Maintain identity and access management (IAM) standards and access documentation.
IT Support & Escalation Management

Serve as the sole point of contact for all IT support across the organization.

Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for both Mac and PC devices (Tier 1–3 equivalent).

Prioritize and resolve requests in a timely manner to minimize business disruption.

Escalate and coordinate with external vendors when necessary.

Develop and maintain internal documentation, SOPs, and knowledge resources.
Infrastructure & Systems Management (Hands-On)
- Partner with Sales, Delivery, and Finance to ensure accurate and secure data flow across systems
- Support the integrity and scalability of reporting infrastructure
- Define role-based access to operational and financial systems
- Ensure data governance standards are documented and enforced
Website, DNS & Email Deliverability

Address site-related changes (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, WordPress) and coordinate closely with the website team.

Configure subdomains and maintain DNS records.

Configure and monitor SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to ensure optimal email deliverability.

Proactively monitor email authentication systems to support Sales performance.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management

Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and security standards.

Maintain endpoint protection, MFA enforcement, and system security controls.

Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management.

Lead incident response efforts when necessary.

Maintain backup systems and disaster recovery readiness.

Ensure compliance with relevant data protection standards.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Conduct periodic utilization audits to optimize licensing and reduce unnecessary spend
- Track technology ROI and recommend consolidation or upgrades based on business impact
- Align technology investments with margin improvement and scalability objectives.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of experience in an IT-related environment.
- 5 years of hands-on troubleshooting supporting Mac and PC devices.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, cybersecurity, networking, systems administration, and data storage systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate technically complex topics clearly and effectively.
- Ability to balance hands-on support with strategic infrastructure initiatives
Preferred
- Experience independently managing IT operations in a small-to-mid-sized organization.
- Experience supporting a multi-location and remote workforce.
- Industry certifications (CISSP, ITIL, PMP, AWS/Azure, etc.) are a plus but not required.
Ideal 30/60/90 Day Plan
First 30 Days: Assess, Stabilize, Build Trust
- Conduct executive and cross-functional stakeholder meetings to understand business priorities, operational pain points, and growth objectives.
- Perform a comprehensive audit of infrastructure, SaaS platforms, endpoint management, network health, backups, and security controls.
- Review and stabilize onboarding, offboarding, and access management processes, ensuring immediate security gaps are addressed.
- Validate MFA enforcement, endpoint protection, DNS configuration, and email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
- Establish a clear IT support intake process with defined response expectations and company-wide communication standards.
- Deliver an IT environment assessment summarizing risks, inefficiencies, cost exposure, and near-term improvement opportunities.
60 Days: Optimize, Structure, Align
- Implement structured role-based access controls and formalize identity and access management governance standards.
- Finalize a centralized systems architecture map documenting platforms, integrations, interoperability, and data flows across the organization.
- Identify and prioritize automation opportunities to reduce manual workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct a comprehensive SaaS and vendor utilization audit to identify consolidation opportunities and reduce unnecessary spend.
- Assume ownership of IT budget planning, including forecasting hardware, licensing, infrastructure needs, and renewal timelines.
- Begin to draft a 12 to 18 month IT roadmap aligned with scalability, reporting integrity, margin improvement, and long-term growth objectives.
90 Days: Execute, Establish, Lead Strategically
- Present and begin phased execution of the approved IT roadmap, prioritizing high-impact initiatives that improve scalability and operational efficiency.
- Establish a formal cybersecurity governance cadence, including vulnerability management reviews and a documented incident response framework.
- Initiate cost optimization efforts, including vendor renegotiations and licensing adjustments aligned with budget and margin objectives.
- Implement performance tracking for onboarding speed, support SLAs, and overall IT responsiveness.
- Launch first-phase automation or systems optimization initiatives identified in earlier assessments.
- Provide leadership with measurable progress updates on system reliability, security posture, budget performance, and technology ROI.
