Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized Catering Coordinator to manage our catering and event services. The Catering Coordinator's responsibilities will include working alongside the Director of Catering, welcoming guests, coordinating decor and event planning tasks and liaising with vendors. The Catering Coordinator must possess excellent communication skills both internally and externally and assist in managing Banquet and Catering Events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 3 years experience in a Catering/Banquet administrative assistant role
· Intermediate user of Microsoft Office products Windows 95 or better
· Intermediate user of Microsoft Word and Excel
· Excellent written and oral communication and punctuation skills
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
· Assist Sales Team in upselling process
· Assist Catering clients with the planning and implementation of their event(s)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Professionally plans and coordinates details of functions booked
· Assists Sales Team in following and meeting budgeted goals in the area of food, beverage, room rental and other income catering revenue by up-selling
· Promotes the image of Club as the premier hospitality facility in the area for corporate business meetings, social events and golf outings
· Acts as a representative for Club in the community and hospitality industry
· Records prospective client information obtained through on-site visits and telephone calls
· Conducts tours of the facility
· Adheres to policy with regard to booking, event planning, documenting, etc.
· Attends regularly scheduled meetings and sessions with the Director of Catering to ensure the coordination of events and interaction of the department
· Communicates with other departments to ensure the success of scheduled functions
· Professionally greet and assist all clients on the telephone and in person
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
· Performs additional duties, as assigned, to assist in the overall performance of the Catering Sales Department
· Represents Club at in-house and off-property member events and other special events as needed
Compensation
$20 to $25 Per Hour Commensurate with Experience, Health Benefits and More
