Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development within academic and/or professional field.
- Proficiency in coding, debugging, and using software audit tools.
- Demonstrated workplace written (correspondence and documentation) and oral communication skills from both spectrums (technical and user-friendly perspective).
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and advanced database management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with digital banking platforms and middleware development (for example: MuleSoft)
- Prior experience mentoring engineering teams and leading cross-functional projects.
- Proven expertise in software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and project management.
- 5 years of experience in software development within the finance or banking industry.
- Strong knowledge of banking software systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of software applications specific to banking and financial services.
- Collaborate with operations and administration to ensure software compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Manage and oversee software development projects, including research, workflow, IT process, and data mapping to optimize system integration.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in coding, debugging, and best practices to enhance team capabilities and project outcomes.
- Utilize software audit tools and conduct regular reviews to maintain software quality and security.
- Develop middleware solutions to facilitate seamless integration between disparate information systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and make informed technical decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain and enhance technical banking software systems, including Symitar, Microsoft SQL Server and other relevant platforms.

Work Schedule:
- Hybrid: After an in-person Monday-Friday. Following training period the Senior Applications Engineer can become a hybrid (full day in-office and full day work from home schedule of) half week in person, half week remote position.

- On call availability 24/7
- Quiet work from home space and high-speed internet required

The expected pay range for the Senior Applications Engineer is $68,307 - $102,460/ year.
This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role based on typical qualifications and market data. Offered pay may vary depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
