As the Investment Portfolio Manager, you will aid the Vice President Treasurer to oversee key Treasury functions which include debt for HawaiiUSA FCU, liquidity management, investment portfolio management, and treasury operations. This position requires creative problem-solving, collaboration, and change management. Collaboration and communication are key in this role as success encompasses the ability to work with other business unit leaders and staff to steward balance sheet management and decision making. 


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy, Vision, and Leadership

  • Support the Vice President and Treasurer in the oversight and management of the investment portfolio, loan and deposit pricing, and liquidity management.
  • Assist in the annual process for budgeting as well as periodic forecasts.
  • Evaluate local and national market conditions, collaborate with other departments, and bring clear and concise recommendations to key Committees for discussion and/ or recommendation.

2. Finance Operations

  • Assist in managing the Treasury Department’s operational policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and communication of new concepts, methodologies, and techniques for financial management.
  • Assist in the oversight of Treasury specific services such as investment management and liquidity management.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement through ongoing teaching and coaching focused on quality outcomes

3. Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years or more of progressive experience in corporate finance, accounting, portfolio investment, investment analysis, or a related combination.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Seven (7) or more years' experience within a Treasury function.
  • Master’s Business Administration.
  • Certified Treasury Management (CTM).
  • Certified Financial Analysis (CFA).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for prolonged periods at a desk working on a computer.
  • Working on the computer.
  • Regular in-person meetings, online meetings, phone calls, and presenting.
  • Moving around the office on occasion.
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing, up to 25 pounds on occasion.

Benefits and Pay

The expected pay range for the Investment Portfolio Manager is $89,657.10 to $109,580.90 per year. 


This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role based on typical qualifications and market data. Offered pay may vary depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
