What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Services Senior Associate position at HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union?
The primary role of an Electronic Services Senior Associate is to ensure that the delivery of Electronic Payments, Wire Transfers, Bill Payments, and Instant Payments are timely, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements and operational guidelines. Your expertise in the various payment methods will ensure seamless transactions for our members. Additionally, you will effectively provide support to staff inquiries and escalations.
Key Responsibilities
Electronic Services
- Assist the supervisor in overseeing the day-to-day operations.
- Offer guidance to Electronic Services associate on handling member inquiries.
Payment Processing
- Initiate, verify, and execute payments.
- Ensure payments are delivered promptly according to specified deadlines.
Monitoring and Reconciliation
- Monitor daily activities to detect and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile with internal records.
Member Service/Support
- Address escalated member inquires and issues.
- Offer solutions to our members.
- Handle returns and adjustments efficiently to minimize impact on members.
- Investigate and resolve transaction errors and exceptions.
Compliance and Regulation
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Participate in training sessions to stay informed about the industry trends and regulatory changes to enhance expertise.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports.
- Maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with the payments.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT to resolve system issues.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Assist the supervisor with staff training.
- Participate in meetings with other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience
- Four years of experience in a similar position at a financial institution or an equivalent role
- High School Diploma
Minimum Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Sit for prolonged periods at a desk, working on a computer.
- Reach, bend, twist, and turn frequently.
- Lift, pull, push, and carry up to 30 pounds on occasion.
Benefits and Pay
The expected pay range for the Electronic Services Senior Associate position is $22.70 to $24.04 per hour.
This pay reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role based on typical qualifications and market data. The pay offered may vary depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
