Retail Sales Consultant

Job Purpose

We are seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Consultant to join our team at our Hawaiian Telcom Retail Stores. As a Retail Sales Consultant, you will be the face of our brand, providing expert guidance and tailored recommendations to customers who visit our stores. Your role will involve not only driving new sales but also fostering strong relationships with existing customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty. Candidates must be comfortable in a quota driven environment.

Essential Functions

Duties include but are not limited to the following

• Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assist customers with equipment exchanges, upgrades, and troubleshooting ensuring compatibility and functionality.
• Educate customers about our products and services including features, benefits, and pricing plans while assessing customer needs and leveraging product demonstrations.
• Consistently meet and exceed sales targets by effectively promoting our products i via in-store or outbound calling strategies. Process transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system.
• Achieve upsell and retention targets by recommending additional services and utilizing retention strategies.
• Facilitate bill payments and account inquiries using our point-of-sale system, ensuring seamless transactions and providing assistance with billing-related inquiries.
• Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining a clean and organized retail environment.
• Collaborate with team members and management to achieve store goals and objectives.
• Assist in day-to-day store operations including but not limited to opening, closing, inventory procedures, security, merchandising, and balancing in/out of cash drawers.
  
  

Education

Four years of High School or equivalent

Relevant Work Experience

1 to 3 years in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Tests - Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the testing program.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

• Physical Demands:
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes of telephone equipment, reports, etc.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Indoor work in a retail environment. Requires standing for the greater part of the day.
• Work tour(s) may include weekday, weekend, holiday and evening work.
• Subject to occasional overtime and relief work at other stores, including on other islands.
  
  

Miscellaneous

• Previous experience in retail sales, particularly in consumer electronics or telecommunications, is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with a knack for building rapport and trust with customers.
• Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Tech-savvy mindset with a genuine interest in learning about new products and technologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing priorities
  
  

Hourly Rate: $17.57 - $31.13
