We are looking to hire a Desktop Support Engineer to provide fast and effective support for computer hardware and software issues. Essential Functions
- Provide remote and on-site support for one or more locations as needed
- Responding to end user support requests and escalations from the Helpdesk via tickets
- Hardware installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Installing Windows software, patches, updates, and 3rd party applications
- Knowledge of desktop encryption
- Workstation deployments
- Workstation image creation and management
- Providing basic guidance in computer operation and management
- Special projects as required.
- 2 to 3 years of IT experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology preferred.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate preferred
- A Certification preferred
- Knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals
- Knowledge of SCCM and other popular organizations endpoint support systems (such as Automox, Ivanti, Manage Engine) -- used for imaging, software updates, reporting, remediation, software applications, and remote connection systems
- Knowledge of PowerShell, scripting, Grouo Policy and Active Directory
- Experience with Dell and HP computer hardware
- Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems and domain environments
- Experience with mobile devices (IOS, Android, Windows)
- Ability to independentily research, troubleshoot and solve complex hardware and software issues
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to travel and work after hours support/On-Call when necessary
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good written and oral communication skills required to communicate action items taken to resolve IT-related issues to end-users in terms easily understood
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- HDL is required
