Celebrating 50 years servicing the Central Oahu communities, Hawaiian Eye Center is currently interviewing an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant/Technician for our Wahiawa and Waipahu locations.
Job description:
This candidate must be reliable, energetic, compassionate and able to multi-task.
Specific Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Initial work up, chief complaint, medication review, review of systems, visual acuity, eye pressure, muscle test, confrontation visual field, Amsler test, OCT, IOL, Topography.
· Administrative duties.
Required:
· Computer skills (including EMR and PM Systems).
· Familiarity with particularly Ophthalmology/Optometry terminology.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills; Must be able to interact professionally with doctors, colleagues and our diverse population of patients and visitors.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with doctors, colleagues and our diverse population of patients and visitors in the course of work as required.
· Ability to keep pace with a high volume of patients while performing multiple and complex tasks as required.
Travel to both locations.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
· 8-hour shift
· Weekends as needed
