Job Overview
Hawaiian Crane & Rigging, Ltd. located in Kapolei, seeks a talented, full-time, in office, Payroll Clerk with strong organizational skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, able to manage time and communicate effectively, adaptable to change, able to resolve payroll issues. Required intermediate skill level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities:
Regular and punctual attendance is a must. Reliable presence at work is an essential function of this job.
· Accurately prepares and processes weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
· Accurately enters time card data into company’s accounting software
· Update accounting software with federal, state, and union wage adjustments
· Prepares and reports payroll deductions
· Certified payroll reporting
· Prepares Workers’ compensation reports
· Prepares Union benefit reports
· Process unemployment insurance reporting
· Assist with Year-end payroll processing and W-2 reporting
· Maintains OSHA records and prepares annual compliance reports.
· Provides monthly reports to the company’s CPA.
· Maintains employee benefits schedule
· Processes “New Hire” documents
· Maintain, update, create, secure, and archive employee payroll records and files.
· Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
· Follow company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
· Maintains the professional appearance and set-up of the office and personal work space
· Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written
· Answer phone calls with business etiquette
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· AA degree or higher in accounting and 3 years of payroll experience.
· Detail oriented, accurate and organized
· Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet, and other office equipment
· Experience with Sage 300 Accounting Program helpful
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
· Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with employees, vendors and customers
· Team oriented, resourceful, motivated individual, with a desire to exceed expectations at every opportunity
· Effective written and verbal communication in English

· Office hours are: 7am - 4pm HST (Hawaii Standard Time), Monday through Friday

· Salary commensurate to experience and education
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
