Position Summary
Elevate your content marketing skills by joining Hawaiian Airlines’ digital content team. As the content marketing coordinator, you will have the unique opportunity to capture photos and videos for social media, as well as create web content for HawaiianAirlines.com. The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel (flight benefits are included!), experience in content creation (written and visual), and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position will work on exciting campaigns, help manage vendor relationships, and collaborate with teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and scheduling the social media content calendar
- Capture photos and videos for Hawaiian Airlines’ digital marketing channels
- Execute campaigns through strong project planning and management, as well as effective coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with digital agencies to coordinate paid social media placements
- Assist the Social Media Specialist with evaluating, coordinating, and communicating with influencers
- Assist the Social Media Specialist with coordinating content projects with employee content creators
- Support the social care program alongside the Social Media Specialist through facilitating agent escalations and maintaining the program’s knowledge base
- Assist with simple web content updates using the company’s content management system
- Coordinate the production of the company’s editorial web articles (Island Guide)
- Write and/or edit copy for digital content as needed, including marketing copy, editorial articles, etc.
- Activate in emergency response situations, supporting social media and web
- Help generate reports for social media and web content campaigns
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations or an equivalent combination of education and related working experience
- Up-to-date on social media trends, industry, and marketing developments and current (and emerging) social media channels
- Demonstrated ability to create content that aligns with Hawaiian Airlines’ brand and social media content
- Exceptional visual, written, and oral communication skills
- Able to execute multi-faceted projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
- Able to work cross-departmentally with a variety of stakeholders to achieve a common goal
- Experience with mobile photo and/or video editing apps
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Willing to work on some nights and weekends to capture content at event activations or support social care agents
- Willing to travel and ability to acquire a passport

Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of social media experience
- Excellent written and visual storytelling skills, evidenced by strong editorial and copywriting abilities
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Lightroom, or Premiere Pro
- Experience with content marketing and editorial planning
- Exhibits strong emotional intelligence and ability to build successful relationships across internal teams and with vendors
- Experience with a social media management platform (preferably enterprise level)
- Experience with a content management system
