LOCATION: KONA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL | Obstetrics Acute POSITION STATUS: FTE: 30% | Temporary SALARY RANGE: BU79 | SALARY RATE: $61.52 (Hourly) based on the FTE JOB DUTIES: Coordinates nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other staff and departments in maintaining standards of nursing care; follows established policies, procedures or specific instructions. This position may be required to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SHIFTS AS NECESSARY BASED ON HOSPITAL OPERATIONS; SERVICES ARE PROVIDED 24/7. THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated; the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experiences are based on a 40-hour work week. EDUCATION: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. While not required, graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is highly desirable. EXPERIENCE: One year of professional nursing work experience, where the employee independently provided nursing care to patients in a clinic, hospital, or institution. CERTIFICATION: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon employment. For some positions Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required. LICENSURE: Possession of a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawaii.
