Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will support daily and monthly accounting operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, payroll-related accounting, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, and comfortable working with QuickBooks in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Complete monthly bank reconciliations in QuickBooks to ensure accurate financial records

· Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals and closing entries

· Record payroll-related transactions, including payroll accruals and expense postings

· Maintain accurate general ledger records using double-entry accounting principles

· Reconcile accounts payable and ensure invoices are properly recorded and supported

· Process and assist with accounts payable payments and vendor communications

· Prepare monthly financial statements and support internal reporting needs

· Assist with audit preparation, including gathering schedules and supporting documentation

· Support external audits by providing reconciliation and responding to requests

· Participate in accounting projects, process improvements, and special assignments as needed

Qualifications

· Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related finance role preferred

· Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Good organizational and time management skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Basic understanding of accounting principles (journal entries, reconciliations, etc.)
