Full-Time Medical Receptionist

Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center (HICHC) is seeking a Full-Time Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in healthcare. Prior experience is a plus, but not required. We provide comprehensive training and support for the right candidate.
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time position
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (4x10s) or five 8-hour shifts (5x8s) per week
- Workdays: Monday through Saturday
- Hours: Between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Schedule based on clinic operational needs
- Pay: Starting at $18.96/hour, based on experience
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients
- Schedule appointments
- Answer phones and provide basic information
- Collect payments and maintain patient records
- Support clinical and administrative staff
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients and visitors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Healthcare, medical office, or front desk experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on clinic needs
