Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Duties
- Operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, to transport goods to specified locations.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Utilize manual transmission when required and operate pallet jacks for loading/unloading tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver with a strong understanding of route driving
- Proficient in loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and customers effectively.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to safety protocols in all driving conditions.
