Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our senior leadership team and oversee the financial operations of our 71-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital.

This is an exciting time to join Haverhill Pavilion. In addition to strengthening and growing our established inpatient services, we are expanding our continuum of care with the development of new Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services.

The CFO will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to ensure strong financial performance, operational accountability, and thoughtful financial planning as the organization continues to grow.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a key member of the hospital's senior leadership team and partner closely with the CEO on financial and operational decision-making.
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of Haverhill Pavilion.
• Ensure monthly financial statements are completed accurately and on time.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure outstanding variances are identified and resolved.
• Prepare required financial and corporate reports.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support clean financial and operational audits.
• Lead the annual operating budget process and provide ongoing analysis of performance against budget.
• Identify financial trends, opportunities, and areas requiring corrective action.
• Partner with department leaders to understand labor, productivity, overtime, staffing, supply, and other operational variances.
• Oversee revenue cycle performance and support strategies to maximize appropriate reimbursement and cash collections.
• Monitor patient accounting and front-end revenue cycle processes.
• Prepare annual capital budgets and capital equipment requests.
• Oversee purchasing and support compliance with group purchasing contracts and budget expectations.
• Provide financial analysis and support for hospital growth initiatives, including development and implementation of new PHP/IOP services.
• Evaluate the financial impact of new programs, service lines, staffing models, and other strategic initiatives.
• Participate in annual strategic planning and help translate operational goals into sustainable financial plans.
• Provide leadership and oversight to departments assigned by the CEO.
• Establish effective working relationships with hospital leadership, department directors, physicians, and corporate and divisional partners.
• Support a culture of accountability while remaining accessible and collaborative with operational leaders.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business-related field with a major in Accounting.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically, identify problems, and develop practical solutions.
• Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships across clinical, operational, and corporate teams.

Preferred:

• At least 3 years of successful CFO experience in a healthcare setting.
• Behavioral healthcare experience.
• Experience working within a proprietary healthcare system.
• CPA and/or master's degree.

Base Salary: $145,000–$180,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
