Haver & Boecker Wire Weaving Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Hand Packer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will help ensure our high-quality products are properly inspected, packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment. What You'll Do
Packaging & Production
- Count, measure, and weigh materials and finished products.
- Load products and materials into packaging equipment.
- Pack, seal, and prepare products for shipment.
- Stack boxes and materials onto pallets for storage or transportation.
Quality Assurance
- Inspect products, materials, and containers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Identify and remove defective products or materials.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the packaging process.
Container Assembly & Preparation
- Build, line, pad, and prepare cartons, crates, and shipping containers using hand tools.
- Seal containers using fasteners, nails, glue, and other approved methods.
Labeling & Documentation
- Apply labels, tags, and product identification information.
- Complete packing records, order documentation, and other required production paperwork.
Material Handling
- Move packaged materials to designated staging, loading, or storage areas.
- Assist with loading products for shipment as needed.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
- On-the-job training provided.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to follow instructions and learn manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and reliability.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to spot weld preferred.
- Ability to cut and fabricate materials preferred.
- Team-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
- Ability to safely work around machinery and industrial equipment.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed on a manufacturing production floor.
- Exposure to industrial equipment, machinery, and moderate noise levels.
- Safety procedures and PPE requirements must be followed at all times.
