What you’ll do
- Administer medications accurately and on time while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the lead staff.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Basic qualifications
- Certification as a Medication Aide or equivalent experience in caregiving.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care settings.
- Background in senior care or home/community care experience.
- Proficiency in patient care techniques, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration.
