Patient Receptionist - Front Desk Patient Assistant
We are looking for a friendly, organized and upbeat individual to greet our patients while helping them with routine appointment setting, routine questions, and follow-ups as needed. Just as you would be making our patients feel at home, Havens Orthodontics wants you to feel at home working with an amazing team of dedicated staff members that are here to support you too.
Preferred Experience:
- 1 year of receptionist experience (or related administrative/customer service role).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
You'll never be bored seeing the same 4 walls every day. This position will allow you to travel each week to a few close by locations with us and our team.
Pay determined by experience in Patient Coordination, Administrative/Secretarial Duties, Customer Service/Care, Orthodontic or Dental Field roles, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and manage patient appointments.
- Data Entry: Accurately input patient details and insurance information into our electronic database.
- Communication: Take messages, send appointment reminders, and perform various clerical tasks.
- Payment Processing: Collect patient payments and handle financial transactions.
- Patient Experience: Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience from arrival to departure.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
- Ability to remain pleasant, good-natured, and cooperative when dealing with all types of patients.
- Ability to evaluate needs of patients and dispatch requests and information accordingly.
- Provide excellent service including evaluating needs and meeting quality standards for customer service.
- Ability to gather and convey detailed information clearly and precisely to ensure information is recorded accurately.
- Active listening skills including the ability to give full attention to others, understand points being made, and asking appropriate clarifying questions.
- Able to multitask and remain friendly at all times.
