HAVEN Wellness Counseling is not just hiring—we’re building.

We’re a growing private practice rooted in providing excellent, trauma-informed care through a Christian lens, and we’re looking for a clinician who feels called to this work—not just interested in it.

While we serve a wide range of clientele, we are currently experiencing a strong and increasing demand for biblically grounded therapy. Because of this, we’re looking for a clinician who is comfortable integrating faith into the clinical space with authenticity, wisdom, and clinical integrity.

This role is designed for someone who doesn’t just want “a part-time job,” but is looking for a place to grow into full-time private practice work over time - with the support, referrals, and community to make that sustainable.

Location & Schedule Expectations

This is a hybrid role with required in-person sessions at our Smithtown office in Suffolk County. Consistent on-site availability is essential.

We offer flexibility but because of client needs, evening and/or weekend availability is required.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing individual (and potentially couples/family) therapy
• Integrating clinical modalities (CBT, psychodynamic, MI) with biblically grounded care
• Conducting assessments and developing thoughtful, individualized treatment plans
• Maintaining clear, timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA
• Supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, relational challenges, and life transitions
• Collaborating with the team to ensure holistic, high-quality care

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
• Active New York State LMSW or LCSW license
• Experience integrating Christian faith into clinical practice
• Ability to work in person at our Smithtown (Suffolk County) office
• A genuine desire to grow within a private practice and build toward full-time work
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Comfort with EMR systems, telehealth platforms, and basic billing knowledge (CPT/ICD-10 a plus)
• Reliable internet for virtual sessions

Job Type: Part-time (with strong growth potential)

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
