Customer Service Representative - Teller Floater (Livingston Branch)

As a Customer Service Representative - Teller Floater at Haven Savings Bank, you will play a vital role in our customers’ banking experience. You will champion our Service Excellence culture, assisting customers with product and service.
You will perform a wide variety of transactions including check cashing, opening accounts, transfers and withdrawals while adhering to established operational policies and procedures. Equally important is the ability to resolve customer inquiries quickly and efficiently, delivering extraordinary customer experience.
This position requires you to work as a Customer Service Representative and Teller Floater as needed from day to day.
Responsibilities:
As the first line of contact customers have with the bank, Customer Service Representatives and Tellers are expected to be courteous, friendly, and helpful. Consistently demonstrate Service Excellence behaviors in customer interactions and in customer survey feedback.
- Receive checking and savings deposits
- Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account history
- Open new bank accounts according to laid down rules and guidelines
- Assist customers with transactional deposits and withdrawals
- As a Customer Service Representative, inform and suggest new banking products to customers
- Provide information to customers on their account status and account balances
- Ensure that customers’ confidential information is properly protected and only used for official purposes
- Consistently display mastery of teller transaction and balancing duties
- Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets
- Ensure that all the bank’s policies and procedures, code of conduct and regulatory guidelines are strictly complied with
- Always provide excellent customer service in a friendly and courteous manner
- Have sufficient knowledge about the banking products and services and respond to all inquiries accordingly
- Improve customers’ banking experience by ensuring that the customers are attended to promptly and all their challenges are resolved without delay
- Provide assistance to all other members of staff in other departments of the bank by liaising with them through positive interactions
- Continuously updating skill by participating in professional trainings
Qualifications:
- 3 year of Banking Customer Service and Teller Experience
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent certification, or military experience
- Must be willing and able to travel to different Haven branches as needed
- Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills
Work Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:45am – 4:00pm
- Saturdays: 8:45am – 1:00pm (Rotation among co-workers)
Compensation:
Compensation:
· $45,000 - $50,000 per year base salary plus premium overtime for hours worked on Saturdays (approx. $5,000 overtime per year)
· 401(k) with a 6% match
