We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Analyst to join our growing team in New Orleans, Louisiana. As an IT Support Analyst, you will be the first point of contact for employees requiring technical assistance, ensuring that hardware, software, and network-related issues are resolved efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line technical support to end users via phone, email, remote support, and in person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Set up new user accounts, manage permissions, and support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or external vendors where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, service requests, and resolutions within the ticketing system.
- Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, and security patches.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Assist with IT asset management, including inventory tracking and equipment deployment.
- Contribute to IT documentation, user guides, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow company IT security policies and best practices to help protect business systems and data.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an IT Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Experience supporting hardware, printers, networking, and mobile devices.
- Understanding of Active Directory, user account administration, and password management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, organisation, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified, or equivalent.
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
