We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Office Administrator/Intake Coordinator to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and facilitate their check-in process with professionalism and empathy
- Manage patient appointments using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software, ensuring accuracy and timely scheduling
- Collect, verify, and update patient information while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with health regulation policies
- Assist with insurance verification, billing processes, and documentation to support medical administrative support functions
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries appropriately
- Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to streamline care delivery
- Maintain organized medical records, ensuring compliance with health regulation policies and privacy standards
- Support clinic operations by managing supplies, preparing documentation, and assisting staff as needed
Experience
- Proven experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems or patient management software such as EMR/EHR platforms
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient confidentiality and data security
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person
- Proficiency in Google documents and sheets for administrative tasks
- Understanding of medical terminology and health insurance processes to assist with billing and claims support
- Ability to type quickly and accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
