About the Role

As our Recruitment & HR Specialist, you will take the lead in attracting and hiring talented individuals who are the right fit for our facility and our culture.

Your primary focus will be recruitment, retention, employee engagement, and building a strong workforce.

You will work closely with department leaders to understand staffing needs, develop creative recruiting strategies, maintain strong candidate pipelines, and ensure new employees have a positive experience from their first interaction through onboarding and beyond.

You will also support essential HR functions, including payroll and timekeeping, employee records, compliance, credential tracking, employee relations, benefits, orientation, and other HR responsibilities.

Your Impact Will Include:

Recruitment & Hiring

• Lead the full recruitment process from sourcing and screening to interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
• Develop creative strategies to attract qualified candidates in a competitive healthcare market.
• Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through job boards, social media, community outreach, schools, job fairs, referrals, and other recruiting resources.
• Partner with department leaders to understand staffing needs and identify candidates who are both qualified and a strong cultural fit.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Help create a welcoming and positive candidate experience.

Retention & Employee Engagement

• Help create a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and connected.
• Develop and coordinate employee recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Support employee surveys, appreciation events, recognition programs, and culture-building activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
• Track hiring, turnover, and retention trends and use data to identify opportunities for improvement.

HR Operations

• Support accurate payroll and timekeeping processes.
• Maintain accurate and organized employee records and personnel files.
• Monitor licenses, certifications, clearances, and other required employee credentials.
• Assist with new-hire orientation, onboarding, and training coordination.
• Provide support with employee relations and day-to-day HR questions.
• Assist with benefits coordination and other HR processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
• Support other HR functions and facility needs as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in recruitment, staffing, human resources, or healthcare staffing strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
• Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, scheduling, or applicant tracking systems preferred.
• Experience with Indeed or other online recruiting platforms is a plus.
• Healthcare or skilled nursing recruitment experience is a plus.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Must successfully complete required background screening, fingerprint clearance, TB testing, and drug screening.
