Maintenance Assistant
Location: Haven Health Cottonwood – Cottonwood, AZ
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift
Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00 per hour, or D.O.E.
Position Overview
Haven Health Cottonwood is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Assistant to support the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility. This role is essential in maintaining a comfortable, secure, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent service in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, minor plumbing, and general repairs
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Repair, fabricate, and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders and tasks
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address potential issues
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and team to ensure efficient completion of assignments
- Respond professionally to maintenance requests and provide strong customer service
- Perform safety checks to ensure compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance (healthcare or residential setting preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Fluent in English
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- TB clearance (post-hire requirement)
- Must be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Reliable transportation to Cottonwood, AZ 86326
